Long-term insomnia (chronic insomnia) lasts for more than three weeks.
Treating Insomnia
There are many ways to treat insomnia sleep disorder however, the most suitable treatment depends on the cause. If the cause is the sleeping environment or the behavior before sleep simple measures like setting the mood for sleep (listening to relaxing music) or doing relaxing activities before going to bed can help. If the cause of insomnia is psychological, doctors can recommend therapies and medications to the patient. Always remember to consult a doctor before taking any medication.
