Non-drug treatments include: training the child to maintain a regular sleep schedule that should be observed even during holidays and weekends; performing relaxation techniques such as breathing exercises, visualization and muscle relaxation; prohibiting stimulating activities like playing video games, watching tv or talking to the phone at least 30 minutes before bed time.
